I think we need to be able to set them to not wander or chase past a certain home range. Especially if we're just gonna drop into a coma when we log out. But is 3 times more effective then raw meat. That is about of effective they are at getting taming progress. I don't care if they protect our sleeping bodies and whatnot, in fact i prefer it honestly. Small tip: An Ichthyornis is an easy method of getting great amounts of prime meat early in the game. Some kind of pen or guard mode would be awesome. It's like every time you have a cousin who gets married, you have to go out of town, and when you get back you have to retame all your dinosaurs. I only have a problem with them dying of starvation. I definitely think people should have to build fences and stuff to keep their dinosaurs safe. Dont keep large amounts of food in there unless you really have no trouble collecting more. Then put small amounts of berries and meat (a stack at the time generally) till you see it stop decrementing. They then proceeded to chase the offending Dilo and swing a bit wild, angering another trike who proceeded to wreck everything near it including both my house and my face. If you want your dinos to feed themselves build a feeding trough nearby. Based on how that fight goes they may wander off, i had this happen last night Dilo wandered near the hut and my trike, stego, and para jumped all over it. Originally posted by Mokk:For the record it may not always be starvation: if a hostile dino wanders past your camp where your dinos are standing guard they will attack or get attacked. Of course, I'm not suggesting that animals shouldn't die if they are attacked-people need to build defenses :) I am not in that situation, but if I was, I don't think I would want to play the game. ARK: Survival Evolved: SeanThomas shares a shortcut to feeding your masses of dinosaurs easily without going into each of their inventories. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creature. ![]() ![]() This section is intended to be an exact copy of what the survivor Helena Walker, the author of the dossiers, has written. They have almost no incentive to tame animals, as they have pretty much no hope of having that animal the next time they log on a week later. The Titanoboa (Ty-tan-o-bo-ah) is one of the Creatures in ARK: Survival Evolved. Best to double check your settings, make sure you have the same keys set, of course. I know that the devs recently made a change that will make food spoil more slowly, which will make it less likely that they will die overnight, but I am thinking about people who don't have time to play and feed their dinosaurs super frequently.įor example, say a person works, has kids, etc. Either stand near it, hold E and choose from the radial menu, or look at it and T to follow, Y to stop following, J to follow all, - for neutral all, for passive all. I suggest this because taming animals is quite an investment, and how it is currently, it's a little too easy (in my opinion) to lose them. I'm wondering if a change should be made to the game that makes it so tamed animals' food levels do not decrease when you are logged out (similar to how your own food and water levels do not decrease when you are logged out). In Ark: Survival Ascended, flying dinosaurs are must-haves for their superior mobility and ability to traverse The Island compared to their grounded counterparts.
